Mr. OC

Schmidt, I like the picture. It reminds me of one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I found my IT books and learned how to post. Also, I don't know where you came up with "Mr. Laguna Niguel", but it works for me. I live in Mission Viejo and work for the City of Laguna Hills . . . so you should just refer to me as "Mr. OC." Look forward to the camaraderie and great golf stories. Any course works for me. Perhaps we should all gather for dinner sometime and discuss our first project.

Last But Not Least--Co-Founder David Reynolds

Although he was the last to give permission to post, he is the co-founder and originator of the Bucket List Club. David Reynolds aka "Mr. Laguna Niguel." He purports to have an IT background but so far has not figured out how to log in and post anything or even leave a comment on an existing post. So far, I have not located a more suitable photo so this flag football picture from 2008 will have to do until then.

Introducing Golfer Number Three

Jeff Howard is our next golfer in the Bucket List Club. He is an Ohio State Buckeye fan but we will let him play with us anyway. Welcome aboard.

Seeking Suggestions for the First Course on the List

It's a big decision and it's not too early to begin the deliberations. The first course to play. Should it be a course that no one has yet played? One of the familiar courses that we've all been to a few times? A cheap course? A splurge course? It seems to me that it should be a new course. If we just went out to Casta Del Sol and played a round, it would be a bit odd. For me, the list of new courses is quite long so I'm open to recommendations.

Introducing Golfer Number Two

I have received confirmation from our second golfer that his identity may be revealed. Drum roll please. . . John Voris. John is currently recovering from injuries sustained while playing a "young man's sport" but he will be ready for the golf course next month. We continue to await approval from golfers three and four so that this blog can proceed.

And so it begins . . .

This is the start of a long journey that will take several years. The team has been assembled. Four golfers of average skill and means who live in Orange County California will golf every course in the County. We will document our progress at this site. My wife reminds me that I do not yet have permission to include the other three players' names, likeness, golf handicap or other vital statistics. So with caution and deference, I won't do so until given permission. Not nearly as concerned about the privacy, I don't mind disclosing my identity in this first post--Kent Schmidt. Will the other members of the Bucket List Club who do not desire to retain anonymity please step forward and identify yourself?
